Lyme Disease: The Action of Borrelia burgdorferi
This 3D animation illustrates how B. burgdorferi, the bacterium that causes Lyme disease, moves within nervous tissue. It is particularly difficult to treat due to its rapid, sporadic movement and spiral-shaped body, which allows it to move in ways that other bacteria cannot.
The Blood Clotting Cascade
This 3D animation highlights the key proteins and interactions that occur following the activation of factor Xa, where the intrinsic and extrinsic coagulation pathways converge.
